Measure the seat, not the old pad
Measure the seat surface of the chair: width across the front, depth front-to-back, both at the widest points. Most dining chairs take a 2″ or 3″ cushion — 3″ for chairs with a deep seat frame, 2″ where the knees sit high relative to the table. Watch the corners: many chairs have T-cushion or L-cushion seats rather than plain rectangles — the configurator handles those shapes directly, with diagrams at each step.

The right foam for daily seating
Dining chairs are used hard — every meal, every day. That's why we recommend HD36 firm foam: firm enough to keep its shape under daily sit-downs, still comfortable through a long dinner. For a softer, more padded feel, add a Dacron wrap — it rounds the edges and adds about ¼″ of loft.

How many should I order?
